Wildlife Removal Ottawa
Humane, permanent exclusion for Ottawa homes.
What you need to know
Ottawa's urban wildlife — raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and starlings — is protected under the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act. Removal must be humane and method-compliant. We use one-way exclusion devices that let animals leave but prevent re-entry, then permanently seal every point with galvanized steel mesh.
Warning signs
- ✓Scratching or thumping in attic at dawn and dusk
- ✓Visible entry holes near roofline, soffits, fascia, or vents
- ✓Damaged insulation or structural wood in attic
- ✓Skunk odour near foundation or under deck
- ✓Droppings or nesting material in attic
What to expect
Identify every entry point. Missing one means the animal returns within 24 hours.
One-way devices at all active entry points. Animals exit but cannot re-enter. Young confirmed mobile first — Ontario law requires this.
All points sealed with galvanized steel mesh, flashing, and hardware cloth. Materials wildlife cannot chew through.
Advice on insulation replacement and decontamination where droppings and nesting material contaminate attic space.
